Microsoft’s New Tool will Make Clean Windows 10 Install “Easy”

-

The company teased a new tool that will allow users to easily install cleanly, stating the tool will come to Insiders first and will likely be in the Windows 10 Anniversary Update.

has announced (rather vaguely) that is working on a new tool that will make installing Windows 10 clean a simple and easy task. The company has not elaborated on what exactly the tool will be or what it will do to make a clean Windows 10 install easy, so get ready to speculate.

The news was dropped by Jason, a Program Manager on the Windows Insider Engineering ream, so it seems like an official announcement of sorts. However, Jason only said on the Microsoft Community that the tool was in testing and did not offering any details:

“Hello Windows Insiders!

Want a simple and easy way to start fresh with a clean installation of Windows? Looking for an easy way to do this? We're working on a tool to make this possible.

Final testing and validation is underway and we will want your feedback once it is ready to go! Stay tuned for additional information as we work through the finishing touches.

And as always, thank you for being Windows Insiders!”

As this came from one of the Windows Insider team, we assume the clean Windows 10 install tool will be arriving in a not too distant Windows 10 Insider preview builds, probably the next one. That will give Insiders the chance to see exactly what this tool is, to test it, and of course to provide feedback.

As for end users, they will probably see this new feature when the Windows 10 Anniversary Update makes its way to PCs across the globe in June.
